A Safe Pregnancy Checklist for Every Trimester
12 July 2026

Regular antenatal visits are the single most effective way to keep a pregnancy safe. In the first trimester, confirm the pregnancy with an ultrasound, start folic acid and complete baseline blood tests.
The second trimester is the right time for an anomaly scan, blood pressure monitoring and screening for gestational diabetes. Continue iron and calcium as advised by your gynecologist.
In the third trimester, growth scans and fetal movement counting become important. Report reduced movements, bleeding, severe headache or swelling immediately — our gynae emergency is open 24/7.
